How do you change the file format of videos to fit Youtube?

i have windows movie maker, and when i try to upload a video from it to Youtube, it says the file format is invalid. How do I fix this?How do you change the file format of videos to fit Youtube?

Are you saving the files correctly? You should just click on File, then click Save Movie File, all movies are converted to WMV format which should be accepted by YouTube.
