How do I burn a movie onto a DVD so that it will play in a DVD player using Windows Movie-maker?

What kind of DVD should I buy, and do I need to change the video format. I shot some video wiht camera and I want to make a homemovie. At what speed should I burned the movie

Basically I don't think you can - I do not think MovieMaker will make DVDs to play on a DVD player - only in a computer.
