How do I change the format of my videos to Windows Media Player?

I take movies with my kodak camera and when I upload them onto my computer they need to be played on quicktime, but my friend when she uploads her movies on my computer they automatically go to windows media player format. The reason why I'm asking this question is because I make movies on Microsoft Movie Maker %26amp; it won't allow me to import my videos because they are a quicktime format. How do I change the format of my videos to Windows Media Player?
Convert them, just google somethingHow do I change the format of my videos to Windows Media Player?
Select the video that you want to open and %26quot;right click%26quot; it. Then look for 'Open With'. Windows Media Player should appear there but if it doesn't, just click on 'Choose Program...'. Look for Windows Media Player there and then just select it. It is a good idea to check-mark the box that says 'Always use the selected...' so you don't have to do this over and over.

Hope this helps. How do I change the format of my videos to Windows Media Player?

It would be to your advantage to read and educate yourself.

It isn't a simple case of put the DVD in and click copy. There are several Formats and there is a lot to learn to avoid problems.
